The jewel of Rennes, The Cap Mail Building

Located in the heart of Rennes, close to the historical city center and the Place de Bretagne, the highly prestigious Cap Mail residential building was built by Les Ateliers Jean Nouvel and the Groupe Giboire property developer.

The building, which was designed to resemble a large ship, known as the “admiral”, contains 45 housing units and offices on 11 floors, plus a contemporary design store on the ground floor.

Built entirely of glass and metal, the facades feature large terraces, winter gardens and green walls that are the hallmark of the building, enabling it to blend in with both the urban and natural environments.

The exterior openings let in plenty of light and offer an exceptional view over the city.

Solozip Box vertical fabric curtains and Lamisol external venetian blinds made by Griesser were chosen for quality solar protection.

These two wind-resistant products prevent the summer heat from entering living rooms, while still offering a clear view of the outdoors.

Solozip Box and Lamisol both meet the need for thermal and visual comfort perfectly, while also blending in harmoniously with the facade.

The building has become one of the city center’s architectural landmarks.

Just contemplate this edifice, and you will agree that it is one of the jewels of Rennes!
